What is a Prosthodontist?

If you are looking to rejuvenate your smile, or you are missing teeth and want to eat whatever you want again, a prosthodontist is your guide to regaining your confidence and getting your life back on track.

Simply put, a prosthodontist restores lost or damaged teeth. One of the nine ADA specialties like periodontics and oral surgery, prosthodontists undertake three additional years of high intensity training in the field of restorative, implant, and esthetic dentistry. This includes many more options for various problems that a regular dentist may not be trained to perform. While there is no ADA recognized 'cosmetic dentistry specialist', a prosthodontist is about as close as they come.

Dr. Buie takes this a step further. To better serve patients, Dr. Buie does virtually all of his own lab work himself, in house. This includes removable and fixed prosthetics like dentures, implant dentures, veneers, crowns, bridges, and even All-on-X type full jaw implant bridges. And the best part is that while Dr. Buie puts so much effort into each and every patient's result, the cost to the patient is the same as what a general or regular dentist would charge for the same service, often times less. In most scenarios, all therapy from start to finish can be done efficiently by Dr. Buie himself in house with no additional referrals or time consuming laboratory delays.

Come and see for yourself the difference that a prosthodontist can make for your smile.
